We went from the mountains to the ocean. We made the most of our few days in Long Beach. Swimming, kayaking, biking, walking (On our walk we saw a pirate festival. It was like walking through the movie set for 'Hook', or 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. It left us wondering what these people did when they weren't clad as pirates.)
Kale enjoyed everything except the water. He will grow to like it, I am hoping. Grandpa took him on a little kayak ride. Kale looked like a tense turtle the whole time. His life vest was like his little shell he was hiding in.
Everyone needs to swim in the ocean and jump in the waves. There is no more relaxing combination than the beach air and Gwynn's meals and preparation.
